Pregnancy Update: Week 25

Baby has been super active this week! All day she is bouncing around in my belly and her kicks are getting a lot stronger now. There are times when I wake up in the middle of the night to change position and I feel her kicks. Hubby even said she kicks a lot while I'm sleeping (he likes to hold my belly while I'm asleep).
How far along? 25 Weeks
Weight gain: 14lbs total
Maternity clothes: Nothing new still. Not sure if I need to purchase anything maternity any more since spring/summer is just around the corner. I'll probably wear a lot of maxi dresses and skirts soon.
Stretch marks? Haven't notice any yet.
Sleep: Great. I have been able to sleep well and throughout most night and lately I've been having crazy dreams. There is one dream where I went into labor, gave birth and my daughter look just like her daddy. I woke up smiling and feeling exciting. I can't wait for hat day when she's finally here.
Best moment this week: Being able to finally get some much needed rest. Last weekend I did nothing but clean the house and that took a toll on my body.
Miss anything? I think what I miss most is being able to wear my regular size clothes. As my belly grows, it hard find cute outfits to put together, especially for work.
Movement: Yes and lots of them. She has been moving a lot throughout the day now. Sometime I wonder if she'll tired out herself and she does but it only last maybe 30 minutes to an hour before she starts bouncing all in my belly again. But I sure do love every minute of it.
Food cravings:  Still gotta have my milk and oj's everyday. I've also been craving chocolate cake. I got hubby to stop by the grocery store  a couple of time on his way back home from work LOL. Besides chocolate cake, I've also been eating hotdogs, bananas, still gotta have my cereal (honey bunches of oats), icecream (strawberry and/or vanilla), Arby's roast beef sandwiches and dim sum.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I don't think there's much that will make get queasy or sick. Well I take that back. I do get car/motion sickness at time especially if I'm not the one driving.
Gender: Babygirl!
Symptoms: Fatigue, minor braxton hicks and charley horse in my calves, lower back aches, shortness of breath and minor stomach cramps, gas & bloating, hemorrhoids (TMI) but it happens and constipation.
Belly button in or out? Still in not yet an outtie
Wedding rings on or off? On as always. I feel naked with out it and hopefully I'll still be able to wear it throughout the rest of my pregnancy
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: The weekend! Work has been crazy busy and hectic. I'm ready to stay home and relax.

Pregnancy Update: Week 24

The bump is here and growing bigger each week =) Baby has been moving a lot now and her kicks are getting strong. Its so crazy yet amazing to watch my belly jump or move from one end to another. It's crazy to know there's a little human being growing inside of me. I cannot wait to meet, hold, kiss and cuddle with our little girl.

How far along? 24 Weeks (6 months)
Weight gain: 12lbs total! I'm gaining all my weight in the 2nd trimester and at a pretty fast rate
Maternity clothes: Haven't made any new purchases yet and I probably won't make any more. Since spring is almost here, I'll be sporting a lot of maxi dresses/skirts and summer dress.
Stretch marks? None so far but now I have the dark line (linea nigra) in the middle of my belly
Sleep: Pretty good. I sleep most through the night without having to go use the bathroom much. However, I feel like I haven't gotten enough sleep (maybe because of the time change)
Best moment this week: Spending some time with my parents and my in-laws this past weekend.
Miss anything? Being able to fit into any of my pants and bending down to put on my shoe. Since my belly is getting bigger each week its been tough putting together outfits for work since none of my pants fit. I've been living off of leggings throughout winter but since spring is just around the corner I looking forward to changing up my wardrobe w/ dresses and skirts. Also, its been difficult getting into a comfortable position to put on my shoes. I'm still trying to figure that out and what would work best for me but for now I have my husband to help me with that LOL
Movement: Always! She's been pretty active especially in the morning after I eat my breakfast and after lunch. She also move late a night. When I wake up to change position I can feel her kicking. Hopefully she doesn't wake me up from it when she's bigger
Food cravings: This week I've been craving Honey Bunches of Oat cereal, Milk, OJ's, chocolate cake (hubby stopped by the grocery to get this for me LOL thanks papa!), bananas and rice
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: Babygirl!
Symptoms: Fatigue, minor braxton hicks and charley horse in my calves, lower back aches, and minor stomach cramps.
Belly button in or out? Still in
Wedding rings on or off? On so far. Hopefully it'll stay that way
Happy or moody most of the time? I am happy majority of the time.
Looking forward to: The weekend! I hoping to be able to relax a bit and sleep in/take naps this weekend.

Pregnancy Update: Week 23

Spring is just around the corner and during the weekend it feels like it has arrive with temperature near the 70's. This past weekend I decided to take advantage of the nice weather so hubby and I took Tobi for a walk. And man...it was hard work especially carrying all the extra weight I've gained. It may be also the fact that I haven't really workout a lot throughout the pregnancy. However, that will change once spring is here. I'm planning to walk more often to get some exercise in.

How far along? 23 Weeks!
Weight gain: 10lbs! ahhhh
Maternity clothes: Only my jeans I purchased at Old Navy
Stretch marks? None although I thought I saw some but it was just dry patches.
Sleep: Great! Though there were a few times where I wake up cause I was getting too hot.
Best moment this week: Baby clothes shopping with the hubby! It was so cute seeing him look through racks of clothes and picking a few items he liked for his baby girl =)
Miss anything? Being able to put on my socks and shoe comfortable. My growing belly is getting in the way and I'm not use to it. I can't image how it will be when I get bigger.
Movement: Yup, all the time. She kicked daddy hard the other night
Food cravings: cereals (mainly for breakfast) with milk, vanilla icecream on a cone (my dessert after dinner),  OJ's, hotdogs and hamburgers.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!
Gender: Babygirl!
Symptoms: Stomach cramps, shortness of breath and I think I've experience Braxton Hicks on several occasion. I've also been getting leg cramps especially during the middle of the night. I wake up wanting to stretch out my legs but I don't because I can feel it coming.
Belly button in or out? In but I think I'll be an outtie when I get bigger
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!
Looking forward to: This weekend. We're going to Ikea Saturday and I have a baby shower to attend on Sunday.

Nursery Progress: Furniture

Yay! We finally got some furniture assembled and installed!

Our first purchase was the crib.  We scored a great deal on it (under $300 shipped with 2 day delivery) I couldn't pass it up and plus it was just what I was looking for. I wanted a white crib with clean straight lines and this one had it and much more! I love that it is white, modern looking and it has a storage drawer below which is a plus in my book (the more storage, the better). It also converts to a toddler bed which is good when baby girl is older or we may just keep it as a crib and use it for our future second child. I was so thrilled when it arrived I asked hubby to assemble it right away LOL.

Awesome feature of the crib, the drawer!

Next purchase was the dresser. We bought the Ikea Hemnes dresser in white and I love it even more with the drawer pulls I purchased. It originally came with black knobs which I didn't like, so I purchased come cute round pulls in gold. I searched everywhere for them online and I finally found them for a really good price. It definitely makes the dresser look a lot better and more expensive.

Love the ring pulls I purchase.

We are not done shopping for furniture yet. I still want to get a few more things. So far everything is slowly coming together and I cannot wait to reveal her room once it's all done.

Our to-do's list:
  • clean out the room
  • paint the walls
  • purchase new blinds, curtain rods, and curtains
  • new rug
  • ceiling light fixtures and table lamp
  • purchase crib
  • get a dresser and a closet
  • hang art
  • get a rocker/glider
  • DIY crib skirt
  • curtain rod
As for a the design/decor, I've kind of change up the plan from my first post about the nursery. I honesty thought we were having a boy before we found out baby was a girl. Therefore, I was focus on ideas that were mostly masculine but now I'm moving towards having more feminine colors and decor.

Pregnancy Update: Week 22

Whoaaa Baby! You can clearly see how big my bump have gotten. I definitely look and feel pregnant now. Baby has been super active this week. She's moving more frequently and her kicks are getting stronger each week. Sometime I wonder if my weeks are off because I feel like I should be further along from how big I am LOL

How far along? 22 Weeks!
Weight gain: 8-10lb. total. It fluctuate but I think I'm almost near the 10lb mark.
Maternity clothes: Nothing new but I am loving my maternity jeans I bought 2 weeks ago.
Stretch marks? None so far. I'm still moisturizing my belly every night and mornings too.
Sleep: Good. I'm sleeping without having to use the bathroom now.
Best moment this week: My parents came to visit for the weekend. It was nice to see them and hanging out. They are thrill about their grand-daughter (Their first grand-baby). I also made my first baby purchase! I bought her some cute outfits and I can't wait for her to wear them.
Miss anything? Being able to be lazy and relax. I feel like I have so much to do before baby arrival that I can't seem to just sit still and be lazy for once. Weather it's cleaning/organizing the house, running errands, etc. it's always something.
Movement: Yup and I love every minute of it. I notice her movements are usually in the mornings after breakfast, around lunchtime (12-1pm), in the afternoon (3-4pm) and at night (8-10pm).
Food cravings: I am slowly getting off my sweet cravings or should I say, resisting it. I don't have any certain cravings, just trying to maintain a healthy diet.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing so far.
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: Back aches, stomach cramps, shortness of breath. My constipation is slowly fading as I am able to use the bathroom regularly now (I know TMI haha)
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? Mostly happy but there are time where I am moody.
